A few years ago, Bill Wiess received a heartfelt call from his dear friend and pastor, Arlis Downs, who was facing health challenges. Arlis asked Bill to step in and lead the Wednesday night Bible studies, and without hesitation, Bill agreed, eager to support him. However, after hanging up, he felt overwhelmed by the responsibility he had just committed to, as he hadn’t considered leading Bible studies before.
Reflecting on a similar experience at another church, Bill remembered the dedication it required. Despite his doubts, he prayed for guidance, feeling a shift as God seemed to ask him what he needed. Bill responded that he needed God and His Word, realizing he was not alone in this journey.
As the Lord guided him, Bill began exploring various subjects filled with biblical truths. Although he holds a minister’s license, he sees himself more as a “sharer” of the Word. This journey led him to compile his insights into a book designed to direct others toward Scripture.
Bill aims to reach a diverse audience—both devoted Christians and those still exploring their faith—by revealing the truths found in the Bible. He believes that God’s love is available to everyone, regardless of their beliefs, and that God is the answer to life’s questions. This book invites readers to discover the hope and love that await them in God’s Word.
Bill Wiess was born on September 16, 1937 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He was the youngest of five siblings born to Charles and Mary Wiess. Bill often told that he and J. C. Penney were the only two famous people born on September the 16th , Ha Ha.
